Choosing the Right Length
A general rule of thumb: order a rope length that is twice the height of your flagpole. For example, a 25 ft pole typically needs 50 ft of halyard. Add a few extra feet if your cleat is mounted low or if you use large snap hooks.

Match your halyard to your flagpole truck's maximum rope capacity. Using an oversized rope will jam the pulley; undersized rope will slip and wear prematurely.
