Flag Pole Rope & Halyard - Solid Braided and Wire Center

Flag Pole Rope & HalyardThe halyard is the rope that raises and lowers your flag — and it's the part that wears out first. UV, wind and daily use fray a rope long before the pole shows its age. Replacing it is the cheapest maintenance you'll ever do on a flagpole.
We cut flag pole rope to length, priced per foot with a 40 ft minimum, in four diameters — 3/16", 1/4", 5/16" and 3/8" — and four colors: white, silver, bronze and black. Prefer a ready-to-go length? Our pre-bagged halyard ships in fixed 30–100 ft lengths.
How much rope do I need? A good rule: double the height of your flagpole. A 25 ft pole takes roughly 50 ft of halyard. Order a little long — you can always trim.
Which diameter? That's set by your flagpole truck, not by preference. As a guide: 1/4" fits ST and OT series and most internal halyard trucks; 5/16" fits the RTS and RTC revolving series; 3/8" fits heavy-duty HDT trucks. Check your truck model before ordering, or call us at 800-454-6998 and we'll match it for you.
Choose your halyard:
Solid braided polyester — the standard replacement flag pole rope. Low stretch, UV and abrasion resistant, from $0.48/ft. Right for most residential and commercial poles.
Wire center halyard — polyester over a steel cable core that resists cutting. The anti-theft choice for schools, parks, municipal buildings and anywhere a flag is left unattended.
Technora halyard — high-performance fiber in a polyester jacket. Maximum strength with minimal stretch for tall commercial poles and high-wind sites.
Pre-bagged halyard — measured, cut and bagged in 30 to 100 ft lengths. No calculation needed.
Zipklip flag fasteners — nylon clips with stainless spring clips and a locking set screw, to attach the flag to the rope.
Rope alone won't finish the job — you'll also want pulleys and trucks, cleats to tie off, and snaps and coversto hang the flag. All made in USA and shipped fast.
