This flag is well made of nylon fabric, with double-stitched stripes and embroidered stars, representing the United States flag (35 stars, circular pattern) from the American Civil War. There are no markings on the flag I purchased as to its country of origin, nor any information concerning this on the 'net site or packing slip, which is unfortunate. A 4x6 version with gold fringe and options for Regimental identification (i.e., "501st Infantry (Airborne)" embroidered or silk screened in gold numbers and letters would be great!

First, I want to say, this is the first embroidered & stitched, heavy nylon flag I have owned, all others being printed. It's high quality is what I was wanting for this flag, since I had tried to buy an advertised embroidered & stitched, heavy nylon flag from an Amazon vendor which turned out to be printed on very sheer nylon. I did get a refund. I bought this 34 star, embroidered & stitched, heavy nylon flag for a very particular reason. I had three Third Great Grandfathers who served and fought in three different Wisconsin regiments for the Union, during the Civil War. One of them was a Scottish immigrant, who according to his sergeant, in a newspaper remembrance," I told him you were foolish no one would have bothered you there (home in Wisconsin), you might have stayed, and the answer was worthy the man, he said, 'I have made this country my home; she needs me and here I am.' ... Most of the foreigners made fine soldiers." Another, a First Sergeant, was captured at the North Anna River on May 26, 1864, leading his company in an evening push-back attack to cover the main army's maneuver to change positions. He died of disease & starvation & was buried at the secessionist concentration camp, called Andersonville, on August 17, that same year. The third fought as a Corporal for the entire period of the war & was never the same, afterwards. I fly the flag they fought under as a tribute to their memory & for all who fought to keep the Union together.
