Extremely durable and suitable for high wind locations and on your commercial flag pole. The open weave construction reduces wind resistance. Poly-Max flags are crafted using 2-ply polyester bunting. Finished with a white poly-cotton header. Sizes through 6x10 feet have two brass grommets; sizes 8x12 feet and larger have two rope thimbles plus additional grommets according to size.

This is the best American made USA flag, with two-ply fabric that can't be beat. Stars are embroidered on sizes through 12x18 feet and appliquéd on sizes 15x25 feet and larger. The stripes are sewn. It is very resistant to the UV rays of the sun. It has excellent strength retention under the sun's UV exposure. American made flag of tough, durable and long-lasting two-ply fabric with the highest tear strength.
This is not a printed flag: it is fully sewn. The fabrics have deeper, brighter colors that last over time, with excellent wash-fastness and light-fastness.
Fly-end lock stitching varies by size: 4 rows on 3x5 through 5x9½ feet, 6 rows on 6x10 through 20x38 feet, and 8 rows on 25x40 feet and larger.
Header, Grommets and Rope Thimbles
The header is the reinforced edge that attaches to your flagpole. It is made from heavy-duty white cotton-polyester blend army duck cloth.
- 3x5 through 6x10 feet: canvas header with two solid brass grommets.
- 8x12 feet and larger: two plated steel rope thimbles, attached to white rope with triple-crimped sleeves. The rope is sewn into the header to stabilize it and prevent bunching.
- Grommet reinforcement: sizes 8x12 feet and larger include a heavy-duty plastic sleeve at each grommet location.
- Header corner patches: sizes 10x15 feet and larger include a 2-ply patch sewn into each header corner.
8x12 American Flag Construction
The 8x12 Poly-Max flag has a 2-inch header, two rope thimbles, one reinforced brass grommet, embroidered stars and six rows of fly-end lock stitching, with zigzag stitching at each fly-end corner.
Star Details by Flag Size
- Through 12x18 feet: embroidered white stars.
- 15x25 feet and larger: opaque white nylon stars attached with zigzag stitching (appliquéd stars).
Both constructions use sewn stripes and sewn star details rather than a printed design.
Fly-End Stitching and Reinforcement
The fly end is the outer edge opposite the header. Standard construction becomes heavier as flag size increases.
