Sides
- Single-sided (Reverse Print) — A single-layer flag where the ink penetrates through the fabric, producing a mirrored image on the back. This is the standard for 90% of flags worldwide.
- Double-sided — Two printed layers sewn together with a liner, so the design reads correctly from both sides. Ideal when both sides are equally visible.
Materials
- 200 Denier Nylon — UV-coated with DuPont SolarMax. The standard US flag material. Excellent in most climates.
- Poly Knit — Lightweight with excellent fly-ability and longevity. Common internationally and ideal for light-wind environments.
Construction
All flags are sewn with double needle lock stitching on top and bottom, with four rows of lock stitching on the fly end for maximum durability.
Finishing / Attachment Styles
- Grommet — Brass grommets with canvas header. Standard outdoor flagpole attachment.
- Pole Hem (Sleeve) — A sewn sleeve that slips over a flagpole. Common on house flags and spirit flags.
Flags larger than 8'×12' are automatically finished with rope and thimble. If you prefer a pole sleeve on a larger flag, just let us know.
All sizes listed in feet unless otherwise noted. Pole shown in photos is not included.
Did You Know?
Yacht clubs and their members may fly their burgee while underway and at anchor, day or night. Sailing vessels fly the burgee from the main masthead or from a halyard under the lowermost starboard spreader. Most powerboats fly the burgee from a short staff at the bow.
