Bi pride flag colors and meaning
The bisexual pride flag has three horizontal stripes: a wide pink stripe on top, a narrow lavender stripe in the middle, and a wide royal blue stripe on the bottom. The pink and blue stripes each take up two-fifths of the flag's height, and the lavender stripe takes up the remaining one-fifth.

Who designed the bisexual flag?
Activist Michael Page created the bi pride flag and unveiled it on December 5, 1998, at the first anniversary party of the online community BiCafe. He drew on the earlier "bi angles" symbol — two overlapping pink and blue triangles — designed by Liz Nania in 1985. Page's goal was to give the bisexual community a symbol of its own, as recognizable as the rainbow flag is for the wider LGBTQ community.
Page described the key to the design this way: the purple blends into both the pink and the blue, just as bisexual people often blend into both the straight and the gay communities without being fully seen by either.
Bi flag vs. pan flag
The two are often confused. The bi pride flag is pink, lavender and royal blue in three stripes of unequal width. The pansexual flag is pink, yellow and cyan blue in three stripes of equal width. If the middle stripe is yellow, it is the pan flag; if it is purple and narrower than the others, it is the bi flag.
When is the bi flag flown?
