Cut-to-Length Polyester Halyard
Our solid braided polyester halyard is the industry standard for residential and commercial flagpoles. Built to withstand UV exposure, moisture, and heavy wind loads, it delivers smooth, reliable operation on external halyard flagpoles. Available in four diameters and four colors to match your flagpole hardware exactly.
Why Polyester?
- UV & Weather Resistant — won't degrade in sun, rain, or extreme temperatures
- Low Stretch — holds flags firmly at peak position without sagging
- Solid Braid Construction — smooth feed through pulleys and trucks with minimal wear
- Color Matched — available in White, Silver, Bronze, and Black to complement your pole finish
Choosing the Right Diameter
Match your halyard diameter to your flagpole truck's maximum rope capacity. Using an oversized rope will jam the pulley; undersized rope will slip and wear prematurely.
| Diameter | Compatible Trucks / Models |
|---|---|
| 3/16" | Smaller residential trucks (check your pole specs) |
| 1/4" | ST-1-38, ST-1-12, ST-1-16, ST-1-20, OTH, IH-1-35, OT35, ST2, ST3, OT1, OT25, IH-1 (Inner Pulley Insert) |
| 5/16" | RTS-1-125, RTC-1-138, RTC-1-2, RTC-1-238, RTS-2-125, RTC-2-128, RTC-2-2, RTC-2-238, RTSB, OT2, OT3, OT325, IH-1-3, IHT-VS |
| 3/8" | HDT-1, HDT-2 |
How to Measure Your Halyard Length
A general rule of thumb: order twice the height of your flagpole plus an additional 10–15 feet for knots, cleats, and snap attachment. For example, a 25 ft pole typically requires 60–65 ft of halyard.
